Become part of the Avolta team! We are looking for a permanent Nordic F&B Purchasing Specialist based in Finland

Under the umbrella HMSHost, we will run 13 restaurants, cafés and convenience stores at Arlanda Airport, Sweden and 16 restaurants, cafés and convenience stores at Helsinki Airport, Finland at the end of 2024.

 

About the role:

As a Nordic F&B Purchasing Specialist you will join our Nordic F&B team answering to a Nordic F&B Director.

This key role assists the Nordic F&B Director in ensuring the correct and consistent implementation of goods, and implementation and maintenance of the Supply Chain and purchasing strategy.

Main responsibilities are divided to four categories with Sourcing and Supply Chain, Food Development, Cost Controlling and Quality assurance.

You create professional relationships easily with our internal and external stakeholders, especially with suppliers. You have commercial drive to assist in setting up new businesses and expanding the supplier network while understanding the financial responsibility and impact of your work. Your way of working is exact and organized ensuring our reporting and data is precise and on schedule.

You pro-actively advise, recommend, coordinate and resolve outstanding issues by working cross-functionally when necessary and support other functions with Quality Assurance and HACCP.

You follow up with new trends in F&B and support F&B Director in ensuring the development of our food and beverage products.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive operational F&B experience of which at least 3 years of managerial experience in multi-unit F&B organization
  • Experience in tender processes, purchasing and supply chain
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to enable effective cross-functional team work. You communicate in a professional level both in English and Finnish, Swedish is considered an asset.
  • Resourceful with a positive attitude, thrive on challenges and driven to develop solutions.
  • Strong execution and operational skills with a good eye for detail.
  • Good problem solving, analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraint
  • Very good knowledge and affinity with computers and MS Office
  • Broad commercial experience in a profit organization

 

This is a fulltime (37,5 h/week) position with permanent contract. You mainly work during office hours, but some flexibility is required. You join our office at Helsinki Airport and we expect some travelling. According to our remote work policy, you can work remotely two days a week.
